Due Date: 3 weeks from today!!!
I’m sharing a picture my cousin Stephanie took of me last night for this update:
Love it!
I’m self conscious about pictures with my face in them – I think I look like a goofball.
I’ll be 37 weeks tomorrow. I can’t believe it’s almost here!
First off, here is an updated baby bump picture @ 32 weeks!
Last week was a busy baby week! Wednesday we had an ultrasound and a checkup, Thursday we had breastfeeding class, and then Saturday was our baby shower.
Here is the best shot we got at our ultrasound on Wednesday morning. Most people have been saying CRAIG and BOY when they see it, and only a few think it looks like me, but we’ll see come July!
Saturday I had a wonderful shower! We got a lot of great gifts and I am so thankful to all who came! Here are a few pictures of the decorations that we made:
Yummy desserts! Forgot to get a picture of all the yummy food.
Gotta have wine! Too bad I couldn’t have any, a glass of Straight Shooter Red sounds delicious right about now!
This was us almost exactly 2 years ago at Kortney’s shower, June 2010. I guess Candace is next unless we have some surprises from Ashley or Amy coming up!
Me and my wonderful mother! Happy Mother’s Day! Love you!
I don’t know if I blogged this picture earlier or not, but my cousin and my aunt on my mom’s side are also pregnant right now. I’m due July 3rd, Becky is due September 6th, and Stephanie is due September 12th. Here is a picture of us about two months ago:
And here we are at my shower. Becky is having a boy and Stephanie is having a girl. I think I’m carrying more like Stephanie, Becky is carrying very low. So maybe we’re having a girl…. haha we’ll see!
After all of the gift opening:
It was pretty exhausting! We got a lot of great gifts and I am SO thankful for everything!!!
I spent a good part of Sunday organizing everything and writing down what we still need to get. Most of the “big” items were bought, I think the most expensive thing we have to buy yet is the high chair. Basically we have to get all the little things yet, like burp cloths, onesies, bibs, hangers, detergent, diaper creams, diaper pail, sheets, more bottles, etc. We received several giftcards to Target, so that will definitely help purchase a lot of the smaller items. Now I can’t wait to go shopping.
Only 8 weeks left!
Definitely growing! Everything is starting to get a little bit harder to do, like rolling in and out of bed, bending over, and sitting in the bathroom sink. Yes I sit in the bathroom sink to get ready. I don’t know what I’m going to do for the next ten weeks!
We have the baby’s room pretty much ready to roll! Well, minus the shower gifts. Thank God for baby showers, I don’t know what we would do without them and the wonderful family and friends that bring gifts. I can’t wait for the little one to get here so we can decorate!
Craig has gotten some more work done upstairs, but I’m too lazy to go take a few pictures, I will save that for the next post. He has the insulation all put up, along with some of the drywall. Getting a little closer to being done! I wish we had the money to pay someone to finish it. Shearing should be over soon, so Craig will get his weekends back and we can hopefully get the upstairs done before baby comes!
I’ll be working on the garden this weekend. The beds really need to weeded, but its very uncomfortable for me to be in that position pulling weeds for hours. I’m not going to do as many vegetables as last year either. I’m sticking to romaine, spinach, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, eggplant, jalepenos, and bell peppers. Hmm still sounds like a lot. We’ll see how it goes.
Crazy to believe we are only 12 weeks away from delivery! (Hopefully)
At my March appointment my doctor moved me up a week, so instead of being 22.5 weeks I was 23.5 weeks. New due date is July 3rd.
This picture was taken later that weekend at 24 weeks:
Here is a picture from tonight at 28 weeks:
Finally I have a defined belly bump!
Craig has been working a lot and shearing has started so there hasn’t been a lot of time to work on the upstairs. It is all framed, my Dad has to finish just a few things with the electric, then we’ll be ready for insulation and drywall.
Added a closet for storage:
And the skinny stairwell for the skinny steep stairs:
I spent a few weekends cleaning out the baby room. It was full of my school stuff, wedding stuff, stuff that I had moved from my parents house, and anything that we felt like throwing in there from holiday decorations to hunting clothes. I sold some books for some Amazon.com $$$, took a Jeep load of things to my church rummage sale, and threw the rest of the stuff in the garage.
Here is the room all cleaned out:
I debated over and over about painting the room. It really makes it difficult to decorate the room since we are not finding out the gender of our baby. So, we are not going to decorate much until after the baby is born. We aren’t doing a “theme” and we’re not buying a matching bedding set. Once the baby is born, I’ll be buying fabric and my grandma is going to make curtains and a quilt for the crib. I finally picked a color last weekend that will go with either gender. I’ve got plenty ideas on how to decorate this color of room for both a boy or a girl thanks to Google images and Pinterest!
The new color….
I imagine it looking nicer once the second coat is on and the tape is removed. Craig painted the first coat today, and will finish tomorrow. Then we’ll clean and start putting the furniture together!!
Hopefully I’ll have another update soon, but we all know how that goes.
Oh, and this is where I will be spending my entire summer… where is that 90 degree weather we had last week? I could be floating!
Wednesday morning we went for “the big ultrasound”. It was so neat to see our little baby moving around inside! We’re measuring right on track, and weighing in at 1 lb 1 oz. Here is about the best picture we got (it might not look good on here since I took a picture of them with my phone then uploaded them to the computer):
He or she has their left hand on their cheek and their right hand up to their mouth. I can’t wait to get the 3D ones done later on!
I feel like my belly has grown quite a bit in the last two weeks. I’m feeling the baby kick and move around so much, but my favorite part is watching my belly move around when I lay down at night. I spend a good 15-20 minutes staring at my belly and feeling for kicks. Here’s my belly shot from tonight:
Here is what Craig’s been up to on the upstairs, old floor is covered and he is working on framing:
Lots to be done yet….
Craig’s done lambing, there were 17 lambs this year. Here are a few pictures I took last weekend.
20 weeks today!
I don’t have time to blog, just wanted to give my friends a picture. I’ll blog tonight with house updates and some baby lamb pictures!
