About Me

My photo
We got married October 23, 2010 and our sweet baby boy was born July 2, 2012. We have been remodeling our "new" home since January 2010 and I have documented the entire process, and will continue to do so.

30 Weeks

Definitely growing! Everything is starting to get a little bit harder to do, like rolling in and out of bed, bending over, and sitting in the bathroom sink. Yes I sit in the bathroom sink to get ready. I don’t know what I’m going to do for the next ten weeks!

We have the baby’s room pretty much ready to roll! Well, minus the shower gifts. Thank God for baby showers, I don’t know what we would do without them and the wonderful family and friends that bring gifts. I can’t wait for the little one to get here so we can decorate!

Craig has gotten some more work done upstairs, but I’m too lazy to go take a few pictures, I will save that for the next post. He has the insulation all put up, along with some of the drywall. Getting a little closer to being done! I wish we had the money to pay someone to finish it. Shearing should be over soon, so Craig will get his weekends back and we can hopefully get the upstairs done before baby comes!

I’ll be working on the garden this weekend. The beds really need to weeded, but its very uncomfortable for me to be in that position pulling weeds for hours. I’m not going to do as many vegetables as last year either. I’m sticking to romaine, spinach, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, eggplant, jalepenos, and bell peppers. Hmm still sounds like a lot. We’ll see how it goes. Smile

Hello Third Trimester!

Crazy to believe we are only 12 weeks away from delivery! (Hopefully)

At my March appointment my doctor moved me up a week, so instead of being 22.5 weeks I was 23.5 weeks. New due date is July 3rd.

This picture was taken later that weekend at 24 weeks:

Here is a picture from tonight at 28 weeks:

Finally I have a defined belly bump!

Craig has been working a lot and shearing has started so there hasn’t been a lot of time to work on the upstairs. It is all framed, my Dad has to finish just a few things with the electric, then we’ll be ready for insulation and drywall.

Added a closet for storage:

I spent a few weekends cleaning out the baby room. It was full of my school stuff, wedding stuff, stuff that I had moved from my parents house, and anything that we felt like throwing in there from holiday decorations to hunting clothes. I sold some books for some Amazon.com $$$, took a Jeep load of things to my church rummage sale, and threw the rest of the stuff in the garage.

Here is the room all cleaned out:

I debated over and over about painting the room. It really makes it difficult to decorate the room since we are not finding out the gender of our baby. So, we are not going to decorate much until after the baby is born. We aren’t doing a “theme” and we’re not buying a matching bedding set. Once the baby is born, I’ll be buying fabric and my grandma is going to make curtains and a quilt for the crib. I finally picked a color last weekend that will go with either gender. I’ve got plenty ideas on how to decorate this color of room for both a boy or a girl thanks to Google images and Pinterest!

The new color….

I imagine it looking nicer once the second coat is on and the tape is removed. Craig painted the first coat today, and will finish tomorrow. Then we’ll clean and start putting the furniture together!!

Hopefully I’ll have another update soon, but we all know how that goes.

Oh, and this is where I will be spending my entire summer… where is that 90 degree weather we had last week? I could be floating!301708_118282774971423_100003691038335_95054_1889469942_n[1]
